The direction for 2027 is warmth. After years of cool grays and stark whites, the leading paint brands are pointing toward mossy greens, warm terracotta, soft blues, and warm neutrals — colors that make a room feel settled and lived in. Grounded

A mossy olive that grounds a room without closing it in. Works beautifully on Omaha dining rooms, built-ins, and kitchen islands where you want depth but still want daylight to carry.
Deep Rooted
Dutch Boy 311-7DB
A warm terracotta with real earth in it. A strong choice for an accent wall, a front door, or cabinetry in a home with wood tones and warm flooring.
Cottage Door

A mid-tone neutral blue that reads calm rather than cold. Popular for bedrooms, bathrooms, and shaker-style cabinets in our area.

How these colors behave in Omaha homes
Omaha light changes hard between seasons — bright and blue-cast in winter, warm and heavy in late summer. Deep olives and terracottas hold up well in north-facing rooms that would make a cool gray feel flat, while a mid-tone blue like Cottage Door keeps a south-facing room from feeling washed out at midday.
For most homes we recommend using one of these as the anchor — an island, a built-in, a front door, or a single room — and keeping the surrounding walls in a warm neutral. That gives you the 2027 feel without repainting the whole house.
